Many of the LibDems who I know tell me that their party is anti-nuclear and while I welcome that, it appears that their MEPs are not. The Green-EFA alliance has published voting records on key issues here.
On the Laperrouze report in February this year:
8 out of 9 LibDems voted against a nuclear phase out plan...
8 out of 9 LibDems voted against best possible nuclear safety standards...
8 out of 9 LibDems voted against public funds only being used for nuclear safety R&D...

Stuart, it is a shame that the Green-EFA Alliance don't feel the need to provide links to the original report, the amendments that were tabled, or the debate that was had on the report and amendments so that we could see the context.
I've heard examples of Green Party councillors in the UK voting against 'green policies'. This isn't because they are not 'green' but because they disagreed with the implementation method being proposed. There is a difference between being in favour of something and being in favour of a particular proposal aimed at achieving that goal.
I could report on one of the same votes as 'Green Party vote for public money to be spent on nuclear power research'. An entirely factual statement, but doesn't provide the context to let you know that they were voting to limit the spending to research on safety (although without context I am actually confused as to why they are happy with any public money being spent on research of nuclear power?).
I accept that political parties will always put their spin on things, but not to provide links to further factual information is unhelpful for a party that I'm sure claims it wants to keep the public informed (maybe my headline for your blog and the site linked to would be 'Greens like to keep public in the dark'). If they can provide links to the voting record, would it really be that hard to provide links to the report, amendment and debate?
Malcolm, a simple google search brings up the report. The reason that the report and amendments have been summarised is that EU records on discussion are tough to navigate.
