First anniversary of Israeli invasion

Spare a thought today on the first anniversary of the invasion of Gaza by Israel which saw 1400 Gazans killed. The majority of people killed were civilians and included 400 children.

Remember too, that the atrocities continue with aid and water being denied to the people in Gaza. The Egyptian government has refused to allow an aid convoy to cross its land. Water supplies to Gaza are being blocked by Israel, according to a report by Amnesty International.

Ban Ki-Moon has called for more to be done to help the people of Gaza and said that they are being denied basic human rights.

So, after the UK has spent Christmas drinking, eating and keeping warm, perhaps we can send our thoughts to the people of Gaza. Better still send them some money!
