Failing older people

Can you get by on £95.25 a week or less? What if inflation starts to soar? It could hit 2.9%? Your fuel bill could be £25 each week? You might want to spend £25 on food? You might need to pay for a phone, rates, water rates, council tax, rent, and maybe even by small presents for grandchildren at Christmas. Can you do that with £95.25 or less? I couldn't. If you haven't worked for a total of 39 years (44 for a man), you won't even get £95.25.

Our government is failing older people.

Let's start providing for them instead. Let's have a decent state pension.
