Buzzard off!

Monbiot's piece today on Richard Benyon, Minister for Wildlife and Biodiversity is particulary good. Aside from the new quarry in his tiny 20,000 acre garden and the awful comments about ragwort, he seems to be intent on culling buzzards to protect pheasant shooting for the privalidged few.

The MP for Newbury seems to be just another of Cameron's rich elite who are firmly set in their feudal ways. His wiki biography shows a public schools educations, then a short spell in the army followed by politics - perfect Tory upbringing!

I really struggle to understand how these people can get elected with no real life experience and a complete hatred of the planet and its wildlife and its future. Thankfully it isn't his job to protect it...
