Roseholme play area to close

They have kept the threat of closure of the Roseholme play area (plus another 19 other play areas in Maidstone that are deemed unimportant) unsurprisingly very quiet. They have clearly got to consult on the proposal but a small section in the KM Extra alerted me to this appalling plan.

Roseholme is full of young families that need places such as the play area for their kids. The play area is in urgent need of investment, but that is hardly the fault of the local people, it is simply neglect by the council.

Please make your views know to the council - these play areas serve a real purpose. Maidstone the highest percentage of 4 year olds overweight in the south east (24.4%) - yet the council are reducing access to exercise for these kids. It is ludicrous and dangerous.

I will be fighting against the closure of all these play areas.

Roseholme, Fant
Fountain Park, South
