Bigger than the Lib Dems and UKIP

Yesterday I blogged that the Green Party surge had pushed our membership higher than UKIP. This morning after a further 4000 people joined the party yesterday, we are now bigger than the Lib Dems too. This makes the Green Party the third biggest UK wide party (SNP have more members but are not UK wide).

At 7:49 on 16/1/15 we had 38,669 members in England and Wales, plus 8000 in Scotland and 300 in Northern Ireland - total 47,000 members, over 4,000 higher than yesterday morning.

Here in Kent we are close to 1000 members and growing rapidly. The #greensurge is incredible and bodes extremely well for May.
