To send people to jail for attempting to stop the destruction of our ecosphere,and therefore all of us as our lives depend on it, is simply madness. 

TO: THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT, THE HOME SECRETARY, THE BRITISH MEDIA.

To encourage an appeal outcome that reverses the threat of a custodial sentence for the #HEATHROW13 Plane Stupid environmental activists &/or support a downgrade of the sentence to non-custodial.

Why is this important?

The signatories of this petition regard peaceful, direct action as a political right & believe that poeple are entitled to non-violent political protest, as inferred by rights under Article 19 & Article 20 [1] of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes
freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart
information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
