After the election of Green MEP Caroline Lucas to Parliament, her replacement Keith Taylor has now been sworn in as a Member of the European Parliament. Keith, a councillor from Brighton, will be serving on the European Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committees and its Supermarket Inter-Group, looking at the dominance of supermarkets in the European retail sector. Keith was able to make a surprise visit to the Kent Green Party meeting held at Wye, on 19th June. He emphasised that he saw his role as:
“Making a positive difference to people’s lives” and in the current difficult economic climate, continuing to advocate “social justice.”
